DropBox Makes Backing Up Your Data Free and Almost Too Easy
Are you still not backing up your data regularly? Yeah, I thought so.My other recommendations haven't helped you? Try DropBox.
For FREE, you get 2GB of online ("cloud") storage and a program that runs automatically on any number of computers you use. With this service and it's applications you can easily sync files and folders across multiple computers, or retrieve any of your files from any computer connected to the internet? Yes, even with your smart phone.
You can also share any folder in your DropBox account with one or more other people. This makes collaborating on files much easier than the traditional emailing back and forth method.
Apple's life saving Time Machine's best feature, going back in time to retrieve older versions of files, is also available. I love Time Machine, so obviously I love DropBox.
2GB of space isn't a whole lot if you need to back up tons of photos or other media. It is a lot for all of those critical text documents and assortment of PDFs. If you need more space they offer paid plans up to 100GB. $200/year for 100% guaranteed file backup, that's done automatically? I think you want it.
